Current Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick Looks Up To Bills Legendary QB Jim Kelly

Ryan Fitzpatrick is the current starter for the Buffalo Bills, so he came out to support another former starter and legend Jim Kelly at his annual Golf Outing in Buffalo earlier this month.

“I think Jim’s had such an amazing impact not only with what he did on the field but off the field and in the community. So to be here to help him out, it is really just an honor for me, for him to just invite me and be here a part of it,” Fitzpatrick told Class Act Sports.

The Bills have made strides in the last few seasons, including starting the 2011 season with a 5-2 record. But had finished last in the AFC East for four straight seasons.

“It’s one of those thing, we still got a lot of new faces. We brought in a lot of new people, so we’re trying to get everything pieced together and headed in the right direction. We’ve got some time here before training camp to get that going,” he said.

Fitzpatrick threw for 3,832 yards and 24 touchdowns last season. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams and also played for the Cincinnati Bengals before signing with the Bills in 2009.

“It’s huge. This is my third different team, and I think that is one of the most important things is just getting out into the community and getting to know everybody. Buffalo has so many great people and it’s been nice for me to really feel a part of this community and feel like family,” he told Class Act Sports.
