Felix Jones Excited to Support Teammate Miles Austin and Give Back to Boys & Girls Club

Cowboys running back Felix Jones may be a big time NFL star, but that hasn’t gotten to his head. Jones always does anything and everything he can to support his teammates’ charities, which often help out children.

“Miles [Austin] is doing a great thing for his community. For me to be here, it is a pleasure and an honor. I am excited to be here. “Dude is good. Miles is a great example of a role model. If anybody wants to idolize a person, Miles is a great person to do it,” Jones told Class Act Sports, while taking a break from golfing at Austin’s outing to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Garfield New Jersey.

It was especially humbling for Jones since he recalls his youth and how athletes in his community never did this sort of thing.

“For these guys to put on an event like this, it’s awesome. I definitely want to be a part of it. Growing up as a kid, I didn’t have much of this. I didn’t see a lot of athletes come back to my hometown and support the community that we grew up in, so when anything like this happens, I want to be a part of it,” Jones said.

The former Arkansas Razorback has nine touchdowns in four seasons with the Cowboys. He cherished his time in college.

“It means a lot. It was an experience that I will always remember. I had great teammates, great coaches. I was excited to be a part of that,” Jones told Class Act Sports.
