Justin Tuck Pro Camps Worldwide Presented by Old Spice

Young football fans from around the New York and New Jersey area flocked to Mahwah High School on June 4 and 5 to join All-Pro defensive lineman Justin Tuck for a camp packed with fun, excitement, and education. Put together by Pro Camps Worldwide and sponsored by Old Spice, the weekend event allowed kids from the area to experience first rate football instruction while meeting professional athletes to guide them along the way. ClassActSports.com’s Jared Ginsberg was on hand to catch the action and learn more from one of the Giants’ true class act team members.

Tuck kicked off the morning by greeting the campers with a warm welcome, saying,

“My goal for this camp is two things; for you to get a lot of information about football and for you to have a lot of fun.”

Donned in their bright blue Justin Tuck Football t-shirts, all of the participants broke off into groups for more personalized instruction from trained coaches, learning about the game through drills and activities.

While addressing the crowd, he also shared some tidbits of information from personal experience on the field, saying “On the course of a game, everything is not gonna go your way, but the most important thing to do to be a great teammate is always encourage your teammates, regardless if they’re having a bad day or a great day. In order to be a winner in this league, you need to have great teammates, and I want to encourage you guys to make sure you do that.”

Tuck’s former Notre Dame teammate, Ryan Grant was also lending a hand with the campers and contributing to the event’s ultimate success throughout the course of the weekend.

“Watching [Tuck] grow and watching him develop into the man that he is and what he does for so many people and so many kids is phenomenal. I’m excited to be a part of it,” said Grant.

Amidst the throwing, running, and passing, the 28-year-old defensive lineman took some time to reflect on his relationship with Pro Camps Worldwide, who continue to set up camps with athletes all over the country for young fans.

“They’re just so professional. It allowed me to kinda, just come in today and free flow and make sure I get to interact with the kids. I didn’t have to worry about any of the logistics, any of the sponsorships…they took care of all of that, and that’s one of the reasons why I love working with them,” said Tuck.

In addition to the football camp, Tuck also gives back to the local community in New York, as well as his home state of Alabama with his RUSH for Literacy foundation, which aids in raising funds for books and reading materials for children.
